The inspiration behind this book came from my father, Julius Coaxum, my grandfathers, Julius Coaxum, Sr., Jaither West, and my “Dad,” Topaz Clark. Strong men in my life who had a hand in shaping me into the woman I am today, in addition to my passion for education and empowering children to believe in themselves. I wanted to create stories that celebrate diversity, encourage dreams, and instill positive affirmations in young minds.

My main target audience is parents, educators, and caregivers who seek to nurture a child’s self-esteem, inspire their career aspirations, and provide them with tools for success.

One of the biggest challenges was finding the perfect balance between storytelling and delivering empowering messages that children could easily grasp.

As a child, I always dreamed of making a difference in children’s lives through teaching, writing, or storytelling.
